Matter and Shape, Paris, France
Plug-It is a collaborative installation by 22 System and Crosby Studios, the Paris- and New York–based practice founded by Harry Nuriev. Presented at Matter and Shape in Paris, the project introduces Bleu Connecté, a custom blue colourway developed and named by Crosby Studios.
The installation centres on a mirrored arrangement of electrical outlets that brings everyday electrical infrastructure into view. Visitors are invited to plug in objects, activating the work as the composition shifts through use.
Outlets finished in Bleu Connecté appear throughout, establishing visual continuity while serving as functional points of connection and reinforcing the system as both utility and surface.
Plug-It approaches electrical infrastructure as an integral part of architecture, shaping how spaces are powered, inhabited, and shared.
